Rivermede Retreat

Hi, I’m Leslie. A massage therapist since 2007, I entered the world of John F. Barnes Myofascial Release in 2015 and never looked back. My brother and I inherited our childhood home – called “Rivermede” – in 2020, and I immediately saw the potential for intimate healing retreats. So, when I took full ownership in 2021, I began renovating. As the new steward of the property, I am lovingly bringing the home up to date, painting, improving and bringing back the gardens of yesteryear – all while embracing and preserving the history of this 1750s home. This blog is a place for my partner, John Breneman, and I to write about our experiences at Rivermede, so you can get a feel for this coastal property, and imagine the healing it will bring to you when you visit.
